From Battle.net chat channels to master leagues, stalemate detection, and a new 'extreme' graphics option, the latest StarCraft II patch is here and it's a doozy.

Blizzard released the roughly 80 MB patch last night, tweaking delicate variables like race balance, retooling the StarCraft II Editor, and tossing in a bunch of bug fixes for good measure.

So long 'blocking ramps with 2x2 buildings', it was nice knowing ya.

Other notable updates include customizable hotkey support, ability and upgrade information now displayed in a unit's help dialog, several organizational improvements to the match playback feature, system alerts moved to the top of the screen, and, finally, a way to quickly see how many harvesters are sapping a Vespene geyser: Click on a geyser and the game now displays the number.
