BenQ launches budget pocket camcorders

BenQ's S11 Full HD camcorder features an integrated pico projector

BenQ Australia today launched two new budget digital camcorders. The BenQ Camcorder S11 is a pocket Full HD (1080p) video camera that has an integrated LED-based pico projector for playing back footage. The BenQ Camcorder S21 is also capable of 1080p recording and is equipped with a touchscreen interface and dual SD card slots.

According to BenQ, the S11 camcorder's projector is capable of creating a 50in image. Footage recorded with the camcorder can be played back instantly, and software included in the sales package allows videos downloaded from the Internet to be converted to a suitable format for playback. The BenQ Camcorder S11 has a recommended retail price of $299.00.

The BenQ Camcorder S21 can shoot 16-megapixel stills as well as record video to its dual memory card slots. The $249.00 the S21 camcorder can be powered by either its rechargeable lithium-ion battery or by regular AA batteries.
