Blog 9TO5Mac has published images that allegedly show Telstra's iPhone 4 plans, almost a month ahead of the iPhone 4's scheduled release in Australia later this month — though Telstra has officially denied they are correct.
The leaked images detail three Telstra iPhone cap plans for both the 16GB and 32GB iPhone 4 models at $49, $79 and $99 price points. Both iPhones appear to be free upfront on the $79 Telstra cap over 24 months.
The leaked $49 iPhone 4 cap includes 250MB of data and has an upfront cost of $349 for the 16GB iPhone 4, and $549 for the 32GB iPhone 4. The $79 and $99 caps include 750MB and 1GB of data respectively. All plans are offered over 24 months.
Telstra has officially denied the legitimacy of the plans, quickly publishing a story on its official Blog page, Exchange.
"Seems that there are some plans floating around about the iPhone 4," said Kristen Boschma, Telstra's head of social media and online media relations. "Sorry but these are not Telstra plans and we don’t know where they came from. We are as excited as you are about the iPhone 4 and so we will reveal the real Telstra plans closer to the launch of iPhone 4."
Would you buy an iPhone 4 on one of these Telstra plans, if they were real? Let us know in the comments below!
