Google has revealed the fastest rising search terms in the last 24 hours relating to Australia

Julia Gillard became Australia's first woman Prime Minister yesterday after a swift and brutal leadership challenge. Australians have been following the action online.

Google yesterday revealed the fastest rising search terms in Australia as of 2pm:

australian labour party (1)
rudd speech (2)
tim matheison (4)
alister jordan (6)
kirribilli house (8)
quentin bryce (11)
craig emerson (15)
kevin rudd speech (18)

It’s not all about Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard though. Australians are also searching for other key figures in Australian politics including:

tim matheison (Julia Gillard’s partner) - fourth fastest rising
alister jordan (Kevin Rudd’s chief of staff) - sixth fastest rising
quentin bryce (Governor General) - 11th fastest rising
craig emerson (Small Business Minister) - 15th fastest rising
mark arbib (Minister for Employment Participation) - 56th fastest rising<

Tellingly, of the top 100 fastest rising terms in Australia, 90 of them were related to the political situation or to news sites covering the event.

Gillard was the subject of many Google searches. These included:

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
