Optus to sell Apple iPhone 4 in Australia

Optus has confirmed it will sell the iPhone 4 in Australia when it launches in "late July".
Optus had previously remained quiet on the status of Apple's fourth-generation smartphone, despite both Telstra and VHA (Vodafone and 3) confirming they will sell the handset when it launches at the end of next month.
The telco has set up a preregistration page for consumers interested in purchasing the iPhone 4. Optus will stock both 16GB and 32GB models of the smartphone in black and white colours.
Although no further details surrounding Australian availability have been announced, the iPhone 4 should also be available on Optus subsidiary Virgin Mobile, just like the current iPhone 3GS.
In addition to telcos current iPhone, the iPhone 4 should also be sold outright through Apple's Retail Stores, including the recently opened Bondi Junction store, and through its online store.
