Internode cuts FTTH broadband pricing

Internode cuts FTTH broadband pricing, but now counts both uploads and downloads in monthly data quotas.

Australian ISP Internode has today cut the price of its flagship Fibre to the Home (FTTH) broadband plan, but all new plans now count both uploads and downloads in monthly data quotas.

The price of Internode's 100GB FTTH plan, which provides a maximum download speed of 100 megabits per second (Mbps), has been cut from $184.95 to $119.95, while the entry-level 10GB plan has been boosted to 15GB with no price increase ($49.95).

Internode has also introduced three new FTTH plans with 200 GB data quotas, ranging in cost from $129.95 to $159.95 depending on speeds. All new Internode FTTH plans now count both downloaded and uploaded data in monthly quotas. In addition to price cuts, Internode has also increased upload speeds on most plans, now ranging from 2Mbps to a maximum of 8Mbps.

"As this technology moves from novelty to normality, market forces are starting to kick in," said Internode product manager Jim Kellett. "Internode is learning how our customers use their FTTH services and what services they most want.

"Fibre is a brave new world for Australia and Internode is delighted to be part of it."

Internode also confirmed existing FTTH plans will be "grandfathered", meaning while the ISP will no longer offer them to new customers, current customers can remain on the old plans if they wish.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

A smarter way to print for busy small business owners, combining speedy printing with scanning and copying, making it easier to produce high quality documents and images at a touch of a button.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Windows 10 / HP Spectre x360

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
