And the Oscar goes to... Ghost Recon: Future Soldier?

Oscar-winning filmmakers to create short film prequel for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

François Alaux and Hervé de Crécy, the directors of Logorama--the 2010 Academy Award winner for best animated short--have agreed to create a short film that will serve as a prequel to the upcoming Ubisoft shooter Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Tim Sexton, who received a nomination for helping pen the adaptation of Children of Men, will serve as a writer on the project.

According to Variety's "Cut Scene" blog, the creators have not committed to an online premiere for the project. Given the scope of the film and its prequel status, it seems like a perfect fit for the Xbox 360 and PS3's video marketplaces.

In a somewhat related note, a new trailer for Future Soldier, created by an entirely different team, has been released. We've embedded it below for your convenience...

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
