The specifications for AMD’s desktop-oriented six-core processors, codenamed ‘Thuban’, have been accidentally leaked by Gigabyte — a month before their expected release.
The Taiwanese hardware manufacturer temporarily updated its CPU Support List with two new additions — the Phenom II X6 1055T and Phenom II X6 1035T — but has since taken down the information.
The CPUs will have 9MB of cache, along with an integrated DDR3 memory controller. The Phenom II X6 1035T will have its six cores set to 2.6GHz, while the 1055T model will be set at 2.8GHz, and the1075T at 3.0GHz.
The processors are set to go up against Intel’s six-core Gulftown CPUs, which were launched earlier this month.
AMD’s technical manager Garrath Johnston the processors will launch within four to six weeks but did not reveal pricing.
