Panasonic has announced a June launch for its new LUMIX DMC-G2 and LUMIX DMC-G10 digital cameras, which use the Micro Four Thirds interchangeable lens system. The digital cameras are a part of the company's LUMIX G Micro Systems range, which also includes cameras such as the LUMIX DMC-G1K , LUMIX DMC-GH1, and LUMIX DMC-GF1.

Alistair Robins, Group Marketing Manager of LUMIX, Panasonic Australia, said the two new models arrive amid great interest in the technology. “The two new LUMIX G Series models pick up where our groundbreaking G1 left off — delivering SLR image quality with compact ease of use in a very small package,” he said. “We are expecting an extremely positive reaction from photographers and dealers around Australia when these new models are released mid-year.”

The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G2 digital camera features a touch screen that allows the user to change settings and play back images. The camera can record HD video using the AVCHD Lite codec. Robins said the DMC-G2 is ideal for consumers who have become familiar with using other touch-screen devices.

The DMC-G2 and DMC-G10 are based on the Micro Four Thirds system. Unlike true digital SLR cameras, it is a mirrorless system that keeps the camera's body as slim as possible. Both the DMC-G2 and DMC-G10 also include a new illuminated Intelligent Auto (iA) feature, which gives photographers the ability to quickly point and shoot. Both cameras are equipped with a 12.1-megapixel Live MOS sensor.

“Many of the features found on the DMC-G10 are similar to those that photographers would be used to seeing on their digital compact cameras — such as Intelligent Auto, face detection and HD Motion JPEG video,” Robins said.

Panasonic also announced the release of a new standard zoom lens for the LUMIX G Micro System, compliant with the Micro Four Thirds System standard. It will also be available in June. “The new kit lens for the LUMIX DMC-G2 and DMC-G10 is lightweight and versatile and includes our benchmark MEGA O.I.S system for blur-free shooting when zooming and in low light,” said Robins.

The DMC-G2 will be available for sale as a body only and in single-lens and twin-lens kits, while the DMC-G10 will be available for sale in twin- and single-lens kits only. Pricing will be announced closer to the June release date.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

A smarter way to print for busy small business owners, combining speedy printing with scanning and copying, making it easier to produce high quality documents and images at a touch of a button.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Windows 10 / HP Spectre x360

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

Windows 10 / Lenovo Yoga 910

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
