Over the years, many video games have had cool titles. Off the top of our head, some examples include Skate or Die!, Carmageddon (do you see what they did there?), Midnight Resistance and Punky Skunk. But none of these come close to what the Grimoire Assembly Forge has named its new baby.
You might want to sit down for this. The game is called 'Dudebro — 'My S**t Is F****d Up So I Got to Shoot/Slice You II: It's Straight-Up Dawg Time'.
We feel this is worth repeating. J.R.R Tolkien once said that "cellar door" was the most beautiful phrase in the English language. Well, it's time to make room for a new champion, dawg.
Developed with old-school sensibilities in mind (including pixel art and insane boss fights), Dudebro will parody and promote a number of modern gaming cliches, including "super-macho protagonists, excessive violence and profanity, chauvinistic overtones and rampant immaturity," according to the press release. In another touch of mixing the nostalgic past with the mainstream macho present, Duke Nukem voice actor Jon St. John will provide voiceover for the game--hopefully in the role of John Dudebro himself.
Did we mention the game is called Dudebro — My S**t Is F****d Up So I Got to Shoot/Slice You II: It's Straight-Up Dawg Time? Seriously, how awesome is that?
