65% of UK consumers in the dark over digital TV switchover

According to Moneysupermarket.com, 65 percent of UK consumers don't know when the switchover, which will see the analogue TV signal turned off in favour of a digital signal, will happen in their area.
The research also revealed that almost a quarter of Brits admitted to not having a television with a digital receiver that would allow them to watch TV after the switchover.
"The switchover is well under way now but is worrying how many people still do not understand what it actually means for them. Despite increasing sales of Freeview boxes and satellite subscription services, there are millions of adults who simply do not feel prepared for the switchover," said James Parker, manager of broadband and mobiles at moneysupermarket.com.
A further 43 percent also said that despite campaigns by the BBC, ITV, Channel4 and Digital UK they still hadn't received sufficient information of the digital switchover.
