Vodafone UK offers Acer laptop & broadband bundle

15in laptop and 3GB data allowance costs £40 per month

Vodafone has expanded its range of mobile broadband and laptop bundles with a deal that includes the Acer Aspire 5535.

The 15.6in laptop, which is available on a 24-month contract, comes bundled with a mobile broadband dongle and a 3GB monthly data allowance for £40 (US$61) per month.

The Acer Aspire features an AMD Athlon X2 QL-60 processor alongside 3GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive and Windows Vista Home Basic.

The ISP is also offering three months' free internet access for customers that sign up for its 3GB mobile broadband plan on a 24-month contract without opting for the laptop bundle. After the first three months, users will be charged £15 per month.

Alternatively if you sign up for the same data allowance on an 18 month contract, you'll be charged £10 per month for the first three months before reverting to the full price of £15 per month.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
