Cricketing apps invade Apple's App Store

Popular Apple App store is flooded with cricket applications

Now that the Indian Premier League is in full flow and Cricket mania is at a high, it is only obvious that the popular Apple app store will also begin to get flooded with applications that revolve around the gentlemen's game.

We received a press release from Apple highlighting some of these apps and we in turn want to bring your attention to them.

The IPL Cricket app features live scores for all IPL matches, daily team standings table, a detailed player performance table and daily detailed player performance table.

The Cricket Game app also allows you to play a quick over, T20 or try a full ODI, using an intuitive gesture system to defeat googlies, beamers and yorkers with a flick of a finger.

The Cricket T20 Super Sixers app that allows you to swipe, slash and slide your fingers and features full 3D graphics and real life player animations.

Cricinfo's Cricinfo Mobicast is a free app with which you can get live cricket score and Cricinfo's famous ball by ball commentary updates pushed to your iPhone or iPod touch in real time. The app features game time visuals from Getty Images, audio podcasts from experts such as Ian Chappell, Tony Greig and Geoff Boycott and the latest news from Cricinfo.com
