Sharp expects deeper than anticipated annual loss
Worse than expected results from its LCD business are blamed for the downgrade

Sharp has revised down its outlook for the fiscal year just-ended and now expects to lose around ¥130 billion (US$1.3 billion), it said Wednesday.
The company blamed in-part worse than expected results from its LCD TV and panels businesses for the downgrade, which covers the period from April 2008 to March 2009. Sales are also expected to be lower at ¥2.85 trillion versus the expected ¥2.9 trillion, Sharp said.
