A new Xbox 360 Dashboard ad surfaced Wednesday, all but confirming a November launch of the console's redesigned menu system.
The new dashboard ad, approved by Microsoft and sponsored by MTV Games and Harmonix, is primarily for Rock Band 2, but it also encourages gamers to "Check out the New Xbox Experience coming in November." Microsoft was not immediately available for confirmation when contacted by GamePro on Wednesday.
The "new Xbox experience" was first announced at E3 in July, bringing with it a streamlined interface, Mii-like user avatars, and an online party mode when playing casual games. Also forthcoming are Netflix movie rentals and the ability to install games onto the hard drive, obviating the need of a disc for playback.
