MGS4 won't be the last Metal Gear after all

Still end of the line for Snake

No need to worry, Metal Gear fans. The popular stealth series will in fact continue after Metal Gear Solid 4, said Konami on Monday. It's just that Solid Snake will no longer be involved.

"I think there's been some misconceptions that [Metal Gear Solid 4] is the last Metal Gear," said associate director Ryan Payton in an interview with MTV Multiplayer. "This is really just the last chapter of the saga of the Solid Snake story."

Last Friday, series creator Hideo Kojima carefully stated that Metal Gear Solid 4 would be the "final episode of Solid Snake," given rise to improbable rumors that Konami would suddenly terminate all future development of one of its biggest money makers.

"[Solid Snake] was a burden [for Kojima] because of all those loose ends," concluded Payton in the same interview. "So when you play Metal Gear Solid 4, and when you get to the end, I think you're going to feel that 'wow, this is a nice closure.' All of the weird stuff that's gone on in the past, it's all coming to an end."

Metal Gear Solid 4 arrives on PS3 on June 12.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Windows 10 / HP Spectre x360

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
