Microsoft teases fake Xbox products for April Fools

In a suspicious-looking promo page entitled "What's popping up this spring," Microsoft lists the following "brand new gear:" Xbox 360 Wireless Helmet, Xbox 360 Vintage Edition, Xbox 360 Recon Edition, and Xbox LIVE The Boardgame.

Upon clicking the "learn more" link, however, gamers are enlightened with the truth of the hoax and are able to e-mail the spoof to a friend or browse for legitimate Xbox 360 accessories.

In a gaming world rife with tired April Fools tricks once yearly, we must say: "Nice form, Microsoft." And wood faceplates and controllers would be greatly appreciated.
