3D Dancing Valentine Teddy Bear

3D Dancing Valentine Teddy Bear

Put a smile on your face with this goofy screen saver.

Teddy bears dance to a jaunty ragtime tune in a forest glade beneath a tree filled with candy hearts that detach and swirl through the air. Each candy heart carries a traditional message: Be Mine, Cutie Pie, I'm Yours, and so on.

You can mute the music if you wish, or use tunes of your own, but the sound track's half the fun. Valentine's Scrooges need not apply -- this is one cute screen saver.

3D Valentine's Day Screensaver

3D Valentine's Day Screensaver

Celebrate Valentine's Day with this pretty screen saver that can be customised with a picture of your beloved.

Bumblebees buzz against a blue sky above a nicely rendered field of chamomile flowers, with hearts floating upwards. A large red heart appears, then is burst with an arrow -- and you can add an image of your loved one to the heart if you wish.

The screen saver is silent, so it could be used in a cubicle environment.

Registering the program for $US10 removes the nag screens.

3D Valentine Love

3D Valentine Love

Watch out -- Cupid's on the hunt in this Valentine's Day screen saver.

Folks who love sappy movies and Valentine's Day decor will love this screen saver, which features 3D cupids and lots of hearts against a pink background. The words "I Love You" slowly appear amidst the rising hearts -- in 38 different languages.

The beautiful background music is a dreamy, romantic piano tune -- but you can replace it with your own music, or turn it off.

Is this screen saver Valentine's Day overkill, or really, really sweet? The demo gives you three days to decide.

Valentine Fireworks

Valentine Fireworks

Forget the chocolates -- use fireworks to put some sparkle into your Valentine's Day.

Getting tired of hearts and flowers? Here's a new idea: celebrate Valentine's Day with fireworks. This screen saver stands out from the rest -- there's no sappy music, no cupids, no lace doilies. Fireworks shoot up from the bottom of your screen and explode into brilliant heart shapes, accompanied by realistic sound effects.

You can change the background from the default moving clouds -- which is very realistic and quite pretty -- to static images that include gemstone hearts, trippy 60s hearts, and even a hearts-and-flowers background if you're so inclined. You can also change the background tint. For instance, we kept the default, selected a pure red tint, and ended up with a creepy and fun "my bloody valentine" effect.

3D Valentines Fireworks would make a nice gift for anyone who enjoys a little offbeat romance. If you download the three-day demo, you might find yourself ponying up the $US10 registration fee.

For work use, Microsoft Word and Excel programs pre-installed on the device are adequate for preparing short documents.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

Andrew Mitsi

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

Simon Harriott

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
