Telstra lashes out at government for being "so last century"

Telco struggling under a "biased regime"

"Telstra commenced legal action to prevent the Minister from making a decision before she had fully considered and decided on the matter, [and she] strongly refutes any allegation of bias or prejudgment in the matter. Prior to the intervention of Telstra, proper process was being followed.

"The AG has taken the decision to impose the licence condition on Telstra [which] means that regional and rural Australians can be assured that the CDMA network will not be switched off until the Next G network provides at least as good coverage and services."

The spokesperson said the license is important for regional and rural consumers who "deserve better than to be left hanging while we go through a time consuming and costly legal dispute".
