Sony has just announced two new digital cameras in their Cybershot range, including the Cybershot DSCR1 which clocks in at a massive 10.3 megapixels.
The DSCR1 features a large APC-class image CMOS sensor (21.5 x 14.4mm) which is the first of its kind in a fixed lens camera. Priced at $1799, the DSCR1 is aimed at the higher end of the market, because for around the same mark, you can easily purchase an SLR.
Sony have also added to their compact range, with the 8.3 megapixel DSCN1 sporting a considerable 3" LCD touchscreen. The DSCN1 has an RRP of $899. Both cameras will be released just before summer this year.
